Cloud security_200x200

Our Cheltenham data centre benefits from a full perimeter fence, CCTV monitored 24/7 and a fully ISMS-certified access control system.

Full rack customers have lockable rack doors, while data floors and power rooms are further protected by a gas-based fire suppression system using a VESDA early warning system.

Regular physical security patrols ensure security from the perimeter fence all the way to individual racks.

You also have the option to have visitors accompanied by one of our staff while on site, if required.

A new approach to data centre access

2020 has been a smack in the face for almost everyone, but what's important is how we all respond and whether we see challenges or opportunities.

In the face of some well-documented data centre closures, and tales of remote hands support too stretched to be effective, we wanted to do something different for our customers.

Making sure that, whatever happens in the future, we're still providing the levels of service you need and expect and making sure you still have the ownership, security and control that colocation is all about.

Using our links and knowhow in the world of gaming, we've painstakingly recreated our data centre in virtual reality, from the power and cooling systems that maintain our facility to the handles and signs on the doors and the gravel in the yard outside. But, more importantly, right down to each aisle and cabinet of our server rooms and the individual racks taken by our customers.

The two videos here show the style of the tool, giving quick tours of, firstly, our whole facility as we expand our rack space into new areas and, secondly, the resilient setup that makes sure the power supply to your hardware never runs out.

When complete, the tool will be configured to make sure that customers will see their hardware only, ensuring that the security of other customers is never compromised.

Ultimately, our aim is to give our customers the experience of being on-site, being able to see what's happening with their hardware and being able to adjust settings remotely. All from the comfort of their own office, home, car or wherever they happen to be.

Giving them all visibility, control and clarity in an otherwise uncertain world.
